Gordon
Smith-Gander

Gordon is a commercial strategist and operations executive with a diverse background across logistics, mining services, recycling, and innovation-led ventures throughout Western Australia. He has spent the past 15 years building businesses from the ground up, leading operational turnarounds, and delivering commercial outcomes across both private and early-stage companies.

As co-founder of Overlander Capital, Gordon works closely with founders and leadership teams to unlock non-dilutive funding, navigate the R&D Tax Incentive, and implement smart, scalable corporate structures from day one. He specialises in helping high-growth ventures manage complexity, stabilise operations, and access capital pathways that support long-term growth.

Gordon’s experience includes founding and exiting businesses across the transport, industrial services, and technology sectors, as well as hands-on leadership in regional markets, including WA’s South West. This broad exposure gives him a grounded, execution-focused perspective on what it takes to commercialise innovation and scale effectively.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics & Management) from the University of Notre Dame Australia.
